  • Apparatus is designed to measure the value of fundamental constant of physic Gravitational Constant ‘g’.
  • This device is used in different laboratories to perform different tasks.
  • The apparatus consists of a wooden base, 1.1m rod and a movable electro-magnet. This electromagnet can move anywhere upon the rod and is followed up with a timer.
  • When the ball is released the timer is started and when it is landed on the surface the timer is stopped for précised measurement and then the value of Gravitational Constant “g” can be calculated.
  • The release mechanism has two contact plates that are shorted when the conducting ball being measured is in place and ready to drop.
